Medium Duty Dock Springs

Above is a set of Medium Duty Dock Springs.

They have a 1500 pounds per inch compression rate progressively wound spring.  The over all length is 26 inches and the pair weighs 76 pounds shipped.  

 

The Medium Duty Dock Spring is well suited to what we need from a spring capable of taming a dock in a big wind.  That allows your winch, cable, and anchor to load up progressively over time, preventing the sudden shock on your components from your dock hammering on those parts.  1500 pounds per inch is capable of absorbing over 10,000 pounds of wind load.  In a storm with 65 mph gusts, you dock will see about half that.
